Jim specializes in business valuation and advisory services for privately held companies across a wide range of industries, including community banks and bank holding companies. With a strong accounting and tax background, he assists business owners, management teams, boards, and their advisors with valuations for ownership transitions, estate and gift planning, shareholder transactions, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Jim has also supported valuation matters in dispute settings and has prepared numerous valuation reports used in litigation and settlement contexts. He joined BCC in 2004 and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and forums on business valuation topics.

Outside of the office, Jim enjoys biking, boating, and attending Iowa State Cyclone sporting events.
